One MCP server for all AI
AdisInsight maintains one MCP server that can serve any of your AI clients. We do not rebuild the MCP for every consumption platform for integration.
The AdisInsight MCP Server exposes drug development and clinical data through the Model Context Protocol, a universal open standard that lets any compatible AI retrieve grounded, structured data on demand.
Why MCP changes things
MCP separates the data problem from the AI problem. AdisInsight curates the records; any MCP-compatible AI learns how to ask for them.
AdisInsight maintains one MCP server that can serve any of your AI clients. We do not rebuild the MCP for every consumption platform for integration.
Access the MCP through the Springer Nature login journey using the same credentials you already use for AdisInsight: IP authentication if your organisation has enterprise subscription or your individual username and password for named user subscription.
Every AI response traces back to Adis records; not a web summary without evidence, nor a hallucination.
How it fits together
The MCP server sits between AdisInsight's curated data and whatever AI environment you work in.
DATA LAYER
Scientifically curated drugs and trial records maintained by Adis editors.
PROTOCOL LAYER
Exposes search, retrieval and charting tools over the Model Context Protocol. There are 7 tools within MCP, with over 100 parameters.
AI CONSUMPTION LAYER
Any AI that implements MCP can query the server. The AI decides which tools to call based on what the user asks — no query syntax required from the user.
Getting Started
Once you get the AdisInsight platform or AdisInsight MCP subscription:
Works with any AI that supports MCP. Claude is the first to go live, more clients will follow as adoption grows.
Disclaimer: This product uses AI. When you interact via an AI client such as Claude, queries are processed by that AI system and sent to the AdisInsight MCP Server, which retrieves live records from AdisInsight's curated database. The AI synthesises results in plain language. No AI generates or modifies the underlying AdisInsight data.
Who Benefits
These are the four roles that get the most immediate value from grounded AI retrieval of pharma intelligence — regardless of which AI client they use.
COMPETITIVE INTELLIGENCE
Build competitor briefings, threat assessments and mechanism landscapes in the time it used to take to request a report.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Scan for in-licensing candidates, unpartnered assets in late-stage clinical development, and originators actively seeking partners.
REGULATORY AFFAIRS
Compare designations like Breakthrough Therapy, PRIME, RMAT and orphan status across an indication or a single sponsor.
CLINICAL & SAFETY
Pull recruiting trial lists, enrolment benchmarks and adverse event summaries without leaving the conversation.
Prompt library
These prompts work with any AI assistant that supports MCP and has the AdisInsight connector enabled. Swap in your own indication, drug, or company, and run.

FAQs
MCP is an open standard for connecting AI tools to external data sources. The practical upside for AdisInsight is that we build and maintain one server, and any AI that supports the protocol can use it; we're not locked into building a separate integration for every AI client. For users, it means you can query AdisInsight from whichever AI environment you work in, rather than switching between tools. In some AI clients, AdisInsight already appears in the platform's connector library, so there's nothing to install manually.
Any AI that supports MCP can connect to the AdisInsight server. In some AI platforms, AdisInsight is already listed in the built-in connector library. Claude is the first of these. As more platforms adopt MCP, the same server works with all of them without any new integration.
No. The MCP server is a retrieval layer for grounded Q&A and analysis inside AI tools. Full record browsing, saved searches and alerts still live on the AdisInsight platform itself.
When you ask a question, the AI calls the relevant AdisInsight tools like search_drugs and retrieves curated records from the AdisInsight database. It then builds a response by combining AdisInsight data with its own training knowledge and any other connectors you have active in your session. The underlying AdisInsight records are curated by Adis editors and are not generated or altered by AI. The AI retrieves them and shapes the answer, but the source data stays as-is.
You need an active AdisInsight subscription. No separate login — the MCP uses the same authentication as other Springer Nature products: IP-based institutional access or your individual username and password. If your AI lists AdisInsight in its connector library, search for it and sign in. Otherwise, add https://adisinsight-mcp.springer.com/mcp as a custom MCP server in your preferred AI assistant's developer settings and log in with your AdisInsight subscription credentials.
